Head to the mountain with confidence with the Cuscus 6,200-cubic-inch internal frame backpack. Built to handle heavy loads without sacrificing the creature comforts, the multiday mountaineering pack is made of water-resistant polyester, and features a sizable 88 liters of storage. There's plenty of room for clothes and gear in the large main compartment, which offers top and bottom access. Most importantly for serious trekkers, the pack is comfortable and supportive, with a heavily padded back panel, an adjustable torso length, and padded shoulder straps, waist straps, and chest straps to stabilize the load. Other features include front tightening straps with square buckles for holding water bottles or accessories; side compression straps with buckles to help distribute the load evenly; and D-rings on the shoulder straps for hanging accessories.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent purchase   August 29, 2010
mary mckeown (kansas city, mo United States)
We bought this backpack for a three week trip to Europe. I wasn't sure what to get, so I thought I'd get a cheap one first, then decide what I liked about it before investing in a more expensive pack. I never bought another pack because this one was all we needed. The shoulder straps are comfortable, the pack is very roomy and we didn't have any trouble with the zippers as other reviews mentioned. We've only taken it on a three week trip, so maybe if you do heavy packing frequently, this may not be the pack for you. Frankly, I think I would still buy this pack, wear it out and buy another one. For the price, it absolutely can not be beat! The only thing I would change about it would be to add a chest strap.

1 out of 5 stars No zippers   July 5, 2010

The large compartment does not have a zipper. If going abroad, this bag has to be checked on the plane, leaving all your stuff unprotected. Buy it only if you plan not to fly with it.

4 out of 5 stars Nice.   July 4, 2010

For under 100$, you can't beat it. That simple. Access to top and bottom of bag without unpacking everything is a nice bonus.

Purchased this for my sons 10 day tour of Europe. It survived 8 airports, and 3 countries. Love it.

5 out of 5 stars Great Product For Price   May 31, 2010

I am very pleased with this backpack. It will hold more than I can comfortably carry. It appears sturdy and versatile to me.

My uncle, who is ex-military was impressed with what he saw of the bag. He helped me pack it so that it would be most effective for my needs.

Don't worry about your height or female pack versus non-female pack. This bag allows for adjustments in height and is comfortable.
