Great for younger swimmer! August 25, 2010 Run Happy It's the perfect size for a younger swimmer. There's spots for her goggles & a place to put her wet suit. The full size pack we had seen at several meets was huge on her. This was a better price than the other places we looked. It is a little small to carry a large towel.
Good for traveling August 3, 2010 LeslieSue (Seattle, WA USA) I bought this backpack to take with me on a recent trip to France. Purses always make my shoulder hurt and a backpack (with both straps on) is more difficult to snatch. This bag turned out to be just about perfect. The dimensions in the product info are a little off - by my measurements it's about 14" L x 6.5" W x 15" H, the length being the amount of space it will take up along your waistline. The straps were very comfortable, there were lots of useful little pockets, and that big wide opening on the top was great. I was able to fit my netbook, a light sweatshirt, a bottle of water, my wallet, a French phrasebook, some sunscreen, and a few other odds and ends and still have some extra room for souvenirs. I really liked this top-opening design - I have a full size backpack that zips all the way around the top and it's always flopping open while I'm trying to pack it up, but this one stayed propped open by itself just fine.
One small issue is that the crescent-shaped pocket in the front (with the Speedo logo on it) actually goes all the way to the bottom of the bag. There are some narrow spaces on either side of that black mesh pocket on the bottom where something small can slide down and get stuck. I lost a few hairclips and some Euro cents down there. It was also a little hot to be wearing in the summer, but that isn't the bag's fault. The back has some nice padding so it was very comfortable other than the heat. I bought the silver one because it was the cheapest, and it's very nice. I was afraid it would be too shiny, but it wasn't an issue.
Great design, poor materials July 28, 2010 Fred I have had one of these for a number of years now. Nice design, if a little small for an adult. Material seems rather poor quality though, as mine has runs everywhere in the bag material, and not just at stress points. I generally like speedo products but this has been a disappointment.
Great stuff holder July 26, 2010 Loves Online Purchasing (Arizona) Love this for my younger kids during swim team season. There is a pocked on the bottom they use for their wet suits, side pockets hold snacks, front "moon" shaped pocket holds goggles, and pocket inside large zipped area holds shampoo and soap. You can cram a change of clothes and towel and it's tight, don't expect to carry anything else. Stands up on it's own and is comfortable to carry. There is a larger version that I would recommend for older kids, but this size is just right for now. One complaint: The mesh pockets on the side do a terrible job holding our Camelback bottles of water (even the shorter ones that are stainless). Your better off using it for something else.
Much better than I expected! June 4, 2010 Vivianna Teixeira I am using it for a diaper bag and it is the perfect size. It's a no nonsense bag with just the right amount of pockets. The media pocket is great for my cell phone or iPod. The bag is designed to stand on it's own, which makes one handed use super easy. The zippers glide easily too. It's a wonderful backpack, and the low price makes it even better.
