It would have gotten 5 stars, but it's just a little top heavy when I set it down. Straps are super comfortable and there a lot of space and pockets. It just tips over to the front when I set it down. Other than that I love it.

I LOVE this backpack! I use to buy L.L. Bean backpacks, but this one blows it out of the water! It is cute AND functional! It has so much storage; it never feels too heavy. The reason I bought this backpack is the fact it has an insulated pouch which i put my lunch in. I can fit a lot in there, but if you put too much, it can cause the backpack to tip over and it starts to take up space in the other compartments. When i get this dirty, i just throw it in the washing machine and it comes out looking like new. The only thing i don't like about this back pack is that one of the outer side compartments is a small, non usable zipper pouch, so you only have one drink holder. Also, the fact that when you put a lot of items in the insulated pouch, it will tip over. Because of these reasons, I bought the Jewel Dakine backpack and am going to retire my Prom. It has been a wonderful investment and has been beaten and bruised! If your interested in buying this backpack for the insulated pouch so you can bring lunch with you, you might want to check out the Jewel Dakine backpack. It basically is prom, but the pencil pouch and the insulated pouch are on top of one another instead of behind each other like the prom backpack so you can fit more in pouches. I go to school and work from 7:30 to 7:30 and this thing has enough room so i can fit everything in. I will never buy anything else aside from dakine backpacks! WELL WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY, HAS LASTED 3 YEARS AND COUNTING!

The backpack has very good quality, looks durable, and has certain details about it that I found very neat. For example, one of the side pockets looks normal but when unzipped it has a little bag that extends to fit a large water bottle with a pull string that holds it snug. The sunglasses pocket is very neat because I can fit both my sunglasses and my other glasses, and it cleans them! Another plus side is that it located at the top so its easy to reach. The cooler pocket is really cute because it has little cheetahs on the inside that go with the cheetah theme. The cooler pocket is really small though, and it squished a muffin i put in there so i mainly use it to keep my soda, or something in a harder container cool. as for the middle pocket it is also very cool because it has little organizer pockets for pencils and stuff, but also an ipod, and cell phone pocket that cleans their screens! Within that same pocket there a zipper to yet another small pocket, which I can fit my earphones (their the one that go over your head and around your ears), and my wallet. Finally the large pocket is very roomie and the entire backpack is lined with some rubbery material to protect from the rain. The laptop pocket is very good, and has a really nice Tye-dye color to it. The straps are thick, and overall the backpack is very comfortable to wear. I'm very happy with my purchase, and would recommend it to anyone, specially if your in college with big heavy books, and a big heavy Alienwear laptop.

Love the cheetah print, it's subtle but not boring. It seems to be very well constructed, I think it will last a long time. The inside linings are cool too, but this particular style "Prom Pack" has a really annoying problem. When you set it down, it always tips forward and falls onto the front of the pack, so it will get dirty if you put it on the ground or floor. I don't know why this bothers me, but I find it hugely irritating. I constantly have to maneuver it to lean against something when I put it down so it doesn't tip over and spill the contents. And, since it always wants to tip over, it's really hard to get my books out. I feel like I'm always fighting with the stupid thing! IMO, it only holds about 3 big books. I can only fit 2 giant sized microbiology books, a 14" mac laptop, a thin notebook and plastic 3 pocket folder in the pack, so if you need to carry more, pick a different style-the cheetah pattern comes in other styles besides "Prom Pack". I found the pockets on this bag to be fairly standard, with the exception of the soft lined sunglasses pocket on the top, and the little pockets on the sides. I put keys, lip gloss, gum and other small stuff in them that I don't want to dig for. There's also a pocket that's lined for food, but it's only useful if you eat flat food, and I seriously doubt its insulating power. I'm impressed with the quality of this brand, just not the Prom Pack style.

It has lots of room for all of your books and many pockets for other items. It is made tough and rugged. Just love it.
